Administrative Committees

Administrative Committees are created by the Appita Executive Committee to oversee and review a number of key Appita activities, to ensure that the products and services to members are suitable and relevant. Current Administrative Committees are:

  • Membership Committee
  • Technical Committee
  • Testing Standards Committee

Sections

Appita Sections provide opportunities for members in regional areas to get together for networking, exchange of information and for socializing. Sections are run by the local members, for the local members. They elect their own committees and are responsible for their own finances. Current Sections are:

  • Southern Tasmania

Special Interest Groups

Special Interest Groups provide members with an interest in particular topics or areas of the industry to network. Special Interest Groups run a range of activities including technical meetings, seminar, short courses and Annual Conference activities. Current Special Intererst Groups are:

  • Industrial IT
  • International Business
  • Suppliers

Appita Testing Standards Committee

Appita’s Testing Standards Committee is responsible for the management of the AS/NZS 1301 series of testing standards for pulp and paper. These standards are recognised throughout the world and the Committee has had major influence in the ISO Standards, many of which are identical to the AS/NZS publications. The Committee operates as a subcommittee under Standards Australia and the publications carry the Appita logo.
